Services outline

Our Services

Sr. N Ngobeni Reproductive Health Clinic offers a wide range of reproductive healthcare services for women, ranging from safe abortion care, a variety of contraception methods, wellness screenings & treatments to
modern telemedicine.

General Healthcare

We provide a range of general consultation services including scans and ultrasounds. Our ultrasound procedures are external and help determine the stage of pregnancy, with real-time display on a monitor during the scan. Additionally, we offer pregnancy tests, which detect pregnancy hormones in urine to confirm pregnancy status accurately.

Safe Abortion Care

We provide pregnancy termination services for pregnancies below 9 weeks using a two-step pill regimen. The first pill, mifepristone, is administered at our facility to halt progesterone production. The second pill, misoprostol, is taken 6-48 hours later at home, causing cramping and bleeding to empty the uterus. Additionally, our Termination of Pregnancy (TOP) process involves a same-day surgical procedure performed by a trained nurse at the clinic, using suction to remove pregnancy tissue.

Women’s Wellness

We offer a comprehensive range of women’s health services, including Pap smears for cervical cancer screening. This routine procedure involves gently scraping cells from the cervix to detect precancerous and cancerous cells early on. Additionally, we provide general treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), ensuring confidential and effective care for all our patients’ needs.

Contraceptives

We offer a range of contraceptives tailored to different needs. For emergency contraception, options include the “Morning After pill” taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex and non-hormonal IUCD insertion up to 5 days later. Our ongoing methods include contraceptive injections like Nur-Isterate (8 weeks) and Depo Provera (12 weeks), contraceptive tablets such as Nordette and Triphasil, and the Evra Patch, which releases hormones through the skin to prevent pregnancy. Each method works differently to prevent fertilization or implantation.
